The Story of My Homelab: How It All Began

My brother influenced me when it comes to homelab he bought NUC, with that i joined different community selfhosted reddit, homelab reddit, and start appreciate open source community. That being said i saw tinyminimicro by servethehome and start research what available items in my country. I bought Micro Dell Optiplex 3080, i upgrade the Micro into 16GB ram (2x8GB) and 512GB + 1TB Sata, and one mistake i made is rush my storage, not server grade storage 🙁.

Further research about homelab im into tteck scripts, RIP tteck, hes the guy behind proxmox ve community scripts, which will create your own lxc/vm in one script, what does script do is ready the boilerplate ulilts for your software needs.

What run i run on my OptiPlex 3080, Proxmox VE Community Edition under it are:

• Nginx (handle cert + dns)
• Adguard (dns rewrites)
• Tailscale (LAN Connection)
• Filebrowser (Google Drive Alternative)
• Cloudflare tunnel (Expose Single Server)
• Ghost (This website)
• Homepage (Dashboard)

i start my networking on 99 my main node then with that naming of my lxc/vm ids 100, 101, 102, 103 ...
